Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - - January 19 2007) was an American theatre, film television, and voice actress. 1. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and began appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s and later was featured in films of note like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She also appeared in numerous television productions, often in guest roles. She also was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978, and received several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
