Amal Clooney
Amal Alamuddin Clooney grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. The Arabic word meaning "hope" is'ml. Her family fled Lebanon when she was two years old, during a time of civil conflict in Lebanon before settling in Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire. [10] Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze from the Alam al-Din dynasty, a village in Baakline in the Chouf District,[11was awarded an MBA degree from the American University of Beirut. In 1991, he returned Lebanon in 1991[12][13] after the end of the civil war. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a foreign reporter and editor for the Saudi-owned al-Hayat publication. [16] She is a founder of the public relations company International Communication Experts, which is part of a larger business that specializes in celebrity guest bookings, publicity photography, and events promotion. Amal was born in the Philippines. There are two siblings and one brother. Amal was a student at Dr Challoner High School (a girls' grammar school located situated in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire) before she attended University. After that, she went to St Hugh's College at Oxford where, among other things she was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition grant. She graduated with a bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA), in 2000. After that, she entered New York University School of Law to pursue a Master of Laws degree (LL.M). She was awarded with the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award in recognition of excellence in entertainment law.
